About New Medicine

N e w   M e d i c i n e  is a general medical scientific journal that is issued four times a year. It has been published continuously from 1996. What makes us exceptional is a very short publication waiting period (approx. 2-3 months), all with the preservation of highest scientific standards – please refer to our Peer Review Process, Conflict of Interest Policy, Human and Animal Rights Policy, Informed Consent Policy, and Plagiarism, Ghostwriting and Guest Authorship Policy.

Our aim is to enable the authors from all over the world to present their results in a renowned scientific journal, while at the same time reaching a broad public of practicing health care professionals. In this way, we combine the prestige of a renowned medical journal with the need of medical scientists to reach clinicians and to see their science applied in clinical practice.

Currently, the journal is being published both electronically and in print, with the online version being the primary. As we aim to remove all barriers in the way of science, we share all our articles for free in the online version, enabling all scientists and clinicians all over the world to learn from the studies published in the journal. From March 2017, all the articles are published both in English and in Polish, which helps us reach the maximal amount of clinicians and scientists from around the globe, as well as to distribute our journal locally to Polish clinicians.

New Medicine articles are indexed in numerous scientific databases, including Google Scholar, SCOPUS, EMBASE, Directory of Open Access Journals, Academic Keys, Index Copernicus and the database of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Moreover, New Medicine is sent to national and medical libraries in several countries all over the world and to selected libraries and institutions in Poland. It is digitally indexed in the Polish National Library. It is also distributed on international and national medical conferences.

Our Scientific Board consists of medical specialists of different specialists universally recognized as authorities in their field.
New Medicine does not contain advertisements. To provide high-quality editing work, language assistance and coordination of the review process, fees from the authors are requested.

From June 2017, the scope of the journal will change – „New Medicine” will no longer be a general medical journal, and the journal section concerning pediatric otolaryngology will become the main field of interest for „New Medicine”.
