Investing in Medical Innovations – Congress & Fair (IMICF 2016) is a two-day event organised by MedInvest Scanner at the International Conference Centre in Katowice on 18–19 February 2016.

The Congress is addressed mainly to investors and innovators from all over the world who are interested in non-drug health technologies and biotechnology.

The event will be held in parallel with the Health Challenges Congress organised by the PTWP SA Group, where 3,000 to 4,000 participants are expected. The Medical and Diagnostic Device Fair will be organised along with the Congress.

The IMICF 2016 Congress is intended to provide a forum, on the one hand, for capital groups and entrepreneurs interested in investing in the medical device market and for individuals or companies which offer ready solutions or innovations at a various R&D stages, on the other. The primary goal is to present investors with the innovators’ potential and facilitate their communication.

At the Congress inventors from all over the world will have the opportunity to present their medical technologies, selected as the most disruptive, innovative health technologies and those which are quite likely to progress into the health care market. Investors and innovators interested in specific offers will be able to meet at special sections (“round tables”) to establish possible cooperation. The participants who wish to present their portfolios will have the opportunity to do so in the stands provided (booths) at the Fair.

The participants will also have a chance to take part in panel discussions attended by experts in Health Technology Assessment, Evidence Based Medicine, Health Economics as well as by a representative of the Polish Ministry of Health. The Congress Organisers have been honoured by many widely recognized authorities in the field of medicine, inter alia: Ron Akehurst (Professor of Health Economics at University of Sheffield), Alicia Granados Navarrete (Head of Global Health Technology Assessment Strategy at Genzyme a Sanofi Company) or Egon Jonsson (Executive Director & CEO of the Institute of Health Economics, Professor of Health Economics) who have accepted invitation to join Scientific Committee. Moreover, the attendees will be able to participate in a debate on the process of transferring technologies and other issues that inventors need to deal with.
